ITBP recruitment 206 ASI, Head Constable Vacancies March 2014: The Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is an Indian force conceived on October 24th, 1962 for security along the India’s border with the Tibet Autonomous region of China, border covering 2115 Kilometers. It is one of the central armed police forces. The first Director General of the ITBP was late Sardar Balbir singh. This was also his brain Child along with his Colleagues.
Only four battalions were sanctioned to begin with, to fill up the security vacuum that was prevalent at that was late that time on the Indo Tibetan Border. Later in view of the additional responsibilities and the task redefined in 1976, the force was restructured in 1978

Age Limit:- Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age between 18 years to 25 years for ASI and HC (ministerial) upto 40 years (LDCE) as on 01.01.2014. and between 20 to 25 years as on 31st march 2014 upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years.
Qualification:- intermediate or senior secondary School certificate (10 + 2) examination from a recognized Board or university or equivalent.
Selection Procedure:- Selection will be on the basis on performance in screening test and interview.
Application Fee:- For General and OBC Category Rs. 50/- and For SC/ ST, Ex Service men, female candidates and ITBP candidates for the post of ASI/ Steno (LDCE) and HC/ Ministerial (LDCE): No fee is required.
