Under the framework of RTE-SSA, remapping of Cluster Resource Centers (CRC) under SSA, Assam has been carried out with each CRC covering 15-18 Elementary schools (both Lower & Upper Primary), for the academic development and support to the teachers and students of the schools. The remapping of CRC has been made on the basis of medium and type of area keeping in view the provisions of RTE Act, 2009. As mandated, at every CRC, there should be one Cluster Resource Centre Co-ordinator (CRCC) who will conduct the cluster level activities under Annual Work Plan & Budget of SSA-RTE implementation in the state. A CRCC must be acquainted with basic principles of teaching, qualities of a good teacher, content and methodology, curriculum-syllabus and textbook, children psychology, value education etc. He/ She should provide school support to a minimum 12 schools ( Class I to Class VIII ) per month and to implement School Development Plan of a school as well as cluster.
